kni builds bridges between research and practice. In our research we contribute to the evidence bases for policy and practice: our scientific investigations are oriented towards developing and implementing innovative socio-economic interventions. In this way we link the macro level of scientific knowledge to the micro level of implementation in model projects. We make this link through the medium of participation: the facilitation of knowledge interchange, networked learning and collaborative project development among the actors and institutions with whom we work towards the transfer of knowledge into action.
